The purpose of this memo is to present my impressions on the clarity, accessibility, and professional appearance of the University of Arizona's website. The goal of the website is to entice students to come and attend the university.

Summary
In general, I think the university's website is very effective in the areas of clarity, accessibility, and professional appearance.

Discussion
In terms of clarity on the University of Arizona's website, you can see instantly the words "University of Arizona" and the brand right next to it. With the links to apply, visit, virtual tour, and give, it is blatant, to me at least, that this is the university's website. As you scroll down, you can see some of the rankings the University has acquired. With that information, it is clear that the website's goal is to entice you to attend this college. When you scroll down even further, you can find recent news about some of the campus community's activities, which should further entice you to attend this college as you can maybe find a community on campus that you can join. To my understanding, sometimes a student can feel dissuaded to attend a college because they don't know anything about the college. With the rankings and news about the activities on campus, it can help comfort you and put aside those feelings towards the University of Arizona.

In terms of accessibility on the University of Arizona's website, all the links do work and bring you to the proper website in which you will be able to accomplish the task wanted. All the help you need can essentially be found using the website.

In terms of professional appearance on the University of Arizona's website, the website looks appealing, neat, professional, and keeps you engaged. All of the words on the website are correctly spelled and doesn't feel clustered.

Recommendation
If there were something I would change about the website, I would change the initial slide show of information and turn it into single slides arranged together on the screen at the same time. You do have to wait to get through each slide to obtain its information which is somewhat of an inconvenience.



Brief Discussion:
Knowing before hand that I would need to include my statement in the memo itself, I revised it before hand. I changed the wording of some of the sentences to be more formal. Also, I changed some of the words to be more entice the readers

DD6HW2 Brainstorm

Brainstorm What graphics are important to your field? Most engineering firms have logos/brands and they want their brand to be widely known. Graphics in terms of Charts can be very helpful. Charts such as a Bar Chart can be very helpful. When presenting to a group of people information, they'd rather see a bar chart representing the data you chose instead of seeing boring numbers. How graphics are important to your field? Just like a Bar Chart, you can represent data in a more visual way instead of looking at numbers. When it comes to manuals/instructions, people would rather see a visual with the parts being place together, as it is easier and has less confusion than a verbal description. DD9HW2 Reflect on PR

Being a pretty novice writer trying to improve my writing skills, I can see some problems with my paper. First of all, I can work on the flow of my column. I should include an introductory paragraph to introduce the audience to what I am about to discuss in the column. Second of all, I can work on expanding my vocabulary to entice to readers to read further. Lastly, I can try to make it more understandable by making references the audience would understand.
